    • Focal mechanisms; seismic moment tensor
    • Earthquake intensity and magnitude
  2. Tsunamis
    • Types of waves in water and their fundamental properties
    • Propagation in the ocean; amplitudes; interaction with the coast
    • Tsunami intensity and magnitude scales
